The wait is over - say hello to my newest quilt pattern, Moonbeam! This one’s especially close to my heart: it’s my take on the timeless wedding ring quilt, a design I’ve admired (and honestly, feared a little!) for as long as I can remember. I set out to reimagine it into something fun, colorful, and wayyy more approachable and Moonbeam is the result.
With bold striped curves and playful shapes, this quilt brings a fresh, modern energy while still paying tribute to the classic. And the name? Moonbeam is actually a nickname for my sweet pup, Nora. She’s a little light in my life so it only felt right to name this glowing quilt after her.
If you’re a confident beginner looking for a challenge that’s still totally doable, Moonbeam is a great next step. I’ve rated it 3/5 for skill level and packed the pattern with full-size templates, detailed guidance, and my best tips for smooth, accurate curves. It includes three size options: Baby (54″ × 54″), Throw (78″ × 78″), and Bed (102″ × 102″) so you can go big or start small.
To make your Moonbeam adventure even easier (and more exciting), I’ve teamed up with some amazing shops to offer curated quilt kits just for this pattern. So get comfy (it’s a long one!) and let’s dive into allll the options!
Moonbeam Kits by Toad & Sew

One of my favorite parts of releasing a new pattern is curating a few special kits to show off the design’s full range and personality. Each one tells its own color story - from vibrant and modern to moody and rich, with a splash of coastal calm in the mix. The Cover Quilt Kit is bold and bright, made entirely with my favorite Ruby and Bee solids (lit never miss!). Mahogany Seed leans deep and dramatic while still keeping things playful. And Pacific Coast is pure beach day bliss. These kits bring my vision for Moonbeam to life and leave plenty of room for you to make it completely your own.

Moonbeam Kits by Wyldwood Creative

Wyldwood Creative’s Moonbeam kits are impressive as always. Low Volume is light, breezy, and effortlessly elegant, while Bright Summer brings all the vibrant energy of a sunny day. And, of course, no Wyldwood kit lineup would be complete without their signature moody, magical aesthetic - beautifully captured in the WWC Brand Colors option. Each kit highlights a different side of Moonbeam, making it easy to find the one that feels just right for you.

Full Moon Fabric Co. knows how to bring a pattern to life, and their Moonbeam kits prove it. The Moonbeam Bright Kit is bursting with energy. Those saturated colors against the dark background are pure drama in the best way. On the other hand, the Moonbeam Muted Kit offers a more understated take, using softer tones for a look that’s calm, cozy, and effortlessly chic. Whatever your mood, they’ve got a kit for you.
