A new update was sent out on 7/7/23 - file name is SkyCabin_Download for reference. If you purchased the pattern before July 7, 2023 then please check your email, as an updated/reformatted version was sent to you. Any order placed after July 7 will have the most up to date PDF. If you don't see an email with the updated PDF, check your junk/spam folders. On Page 3 there is a link that will always have the most up to date version of the pattern. All of the following corrections listed below have been updated in the newest version!

An extra 1/4" was added to all J pieces (making them 4 1/4" x 7 3/4") to add extra wiggle room for trimming the HRTs. Make sure the PDF you have on file is named SkyCabin_Download - if it's not please email for an updated PDF link.

Color 5 - E is 13" NOT 13.5" as stated in the cutting instructions.

Color 2 - J pieces are 4 1/4" x 7 3/4"

There are cutting instruction updates for D pieces in the 2-Tone Bed Size option. Please see link on Page 3 for the most up to date version of the pattern!

Baby size dimensions: 49" x 53" (not 49" x 49")

Color 6 - Piece A1 should be 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" instead of 3 3/4" x 3 3/4".

Color 2 - B pieces should all be 3 1/2” x 6 1/2”, there is a typo saying that two of the B pieces should be 5 1/2” on Page 6 - please ignore and make them 6 1/2”

Color 2 - F pieces should be (2) 4 1/2” x 16 1/2” instead of (2) 4 1/2 x 40 1/2” - the cutting chart shows the correct cuts and the fabric requirements remain the same - it is simply a typo!

You will need (4) U: 4 1/2” SQs from Color 5, it is missing in the cutting instructions as well as the cutting diagram.

If you purchased the Open Road Quilt pattern before March 20th, 2021 please check your email to ensure you have the most up-to-date version. I sent out the updated PDF to all customers on 03/20/21 via email. If you did not receive this version, please email me so I can send it to you.

The original pattern instructs you to cut all Block A's in half horizontally, but if you follow this, the layout won't work. Instead, cut half of Block A in half horizontally and the remaining half vertically.

Color 4 Cutting Instructions updated to remove '4 - 5 1/2" x WOF, subcut B: (8) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"'

UPDATE 2/3/24

The cutting instructions for the FQ version should say that Block A should use 4 fat quarters and Block B should use 5 fat quarters. This was previously reversed in error.

Page 7 - Color 1 cutting instructions:

All J and G pieces are 13.5" x 13.5" there is a typo in the cutting diagram saying J WOF is 13.25 - please click the cover page link for the most up to date version!

Section 2 Block A - The note said "Color 4S and 4R are slightly thinner than the other colors." This is incorrect. The correction is "Color 4S and 4R are slightly thinner than the other colors for baby and throw sizes. They will be slightly larger for the bed-size!"

T pieces should be 12" NOT 12.5"

Page 7 - Color 8 cutting instructions:

Piece B4 should be 4.5" x 10.5". The previous dimensions were 4" which is incorrect.

Figure 15 diagram shows an incorrect block placement on the right side. This full diagram should look like this.

Step 1 in Throw Size(s), Bed section and Figure 13 shows an incorrect piecing instruction. This should be:

1. Sew (1) HST Triangle Block to the right side of (1) STB Type A Block. Make 2. Sew (1) HST Triangle Block to the left side of (1) STB Type A Block. Make 2.
